Islammiyah Saudique-Kadejo

Founder/Project director

Islammiyah is a gender equality activist and human rights advocate. She is the founder and current Project Director of AMDAF and the CEO of GOCOM Radio, Ireland’s first multilingual online community radio. With over 20 years of experience in women’s development, Islammiyah has been instrumental in working with community organisations and engaging with policymakers in Ireland. She has conducted extensive research on discrimination and the challenges facing international protection applicants.

Islammiyah serves on various expert groups and boards in Ireland. She holds a master’s degree in Gender, Globalisation, and Rights, and is the author of three books, currently working on her fourth.

 Abeo Sakirat Tunde-Mohammed

Vice President

Abeo is a seasoned administrator with proven organisational and professional skills, serving as the Vice President of AMDAF. She excels in communication, interpersonal relations, team building, and problem-solving. Known for being a good team player, Abeo brings her extensive experience and dedication to AMDAF, contributing to the organisation’s mission to empower and support migrant women and their families. Her commitment to excellence and professional skills are invaluable to the success of AMDAF’s initiatives.

Mariam Muritala

General Secretary

Mariam is a founding member of AMDAF. She serves as the General Secretary of AMDAF. As a skilled project manager, she has developed expertise in strategically identifying and solving operational and strategic problems faced by real organisations through innovation. Mariam’s ability to tackle challenges with innovative solutions is instrumental in advancing AMDAF’s mission to empower and support migrant women and their families. Her strategic thinking and commitment to excellence are invaluable assets to the organisation.

Hannah Mtelemukaritala

Assistant General Secretary

Hannah serves as the Assistant Secretary of AMDAF. Her dedication and skills play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of AMDAF’s initiatives, contributing to the overall mission of empowering and supporting migrant women and their families.

Jelilat Akinsola

Treasurer

Jelilat serves as the Treasurer of AMDAF. She is a self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual who excels both independently and as part of a team. As an analytical and experienced qualified accountant with strong IT skills, Jelilat has a consistent record of enabling strategic decision-making, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting auditing efforts. Her expertise lies in budgeting, reporting, and problem-solving, making her a valuable asset to AMDAF’s financial management and overall mission of empowering and supporting migrant women and their families.

Alimot Adebayo

Financial Secretary

Alimot serves as the Financial Secretary of AMDAF. An accountant by profession, Alimot is skilled in the preparation of budgets, managing records, and reconciling transactions. She supports the Treasurer and other executives with various projects and tasks as needed. Her expertise and meticulous attention to detail ensure the financial integrity and efficiency of AMDAF, contributing significantly to the organization’s mission to empower and support migrant women and their families.

Florence Ogbebor

Welfare Secretary

Florence serves as the Welfare Secretary of AMDAF. She plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and support of migrant women and their families. Florence’s dedication to welfare and her compassionate approach are instrumental in providing assistance and resources to those in need, fostering a supportive and inclusive community within AMDAF. Adenike Anifowoshe

Assistant Welfare Officer

Adenike is a professional journalist and a trained social worker. In her role as Assistant Welfare Officer at AMDAF, she leverages her expertise to support the Welfare Secretary in ensuring the implementation of welfare initiatives. Karina Mc Donagh

PR and Social Media

Karina is the PR and Social Media Manager at AMDAF. A creative and outspoken individual, Karina thrives on creating and learning new skills, both in the workplace and through educational pursuits. Known for her innovative approach to marketing management, problem-solving, and business development, she brings a unique perspective to the team. With a 2.1 grade in Marketing Management and a natural talent for engaging with the public, Karina excels in fostering connections and driving the organisation’s visibility. Her hobbies include creative writing, fundraising, and participating in charity events, reflecting her commitment to making a positive impact.
